Stone cairn memorial with a marble plaque on concrete stepped base. The memorial is surrounded by four green iron posts and was erected by the 2/31 Battalion to honour fallen WWII comrades.

Maj Cruickshank (QX6055) was killed in action in Syria on 11 June 1941, as was Lt Kelly (QX6096) on the 8 June 1941, both men are buried at the Damascus British War Cemetery. Date made: 07 December 1940.'

Pte, later Cpl John Robert Croom (QX3770) from Healesville, Victoria, was killed in action during the invasion of Syria on 8 June 1941, as was Cpl, later Sgt, John Scouler Kennedy (QX4874) from East Brisbane, who was killed on 11 June 1941, and S/Sgt Edgar George Jarvis Parry (QX4339) from Toowong, Queensland, killed on 18 June 1941. WX1998 Cpl, later acting Warrant Officer Class 2 Cecil John Bullingham from Carrington, Western Australia, was killed in action on the Kokoda Track on 11 November 1942, as was Cpl, later S/Sgt Frederick Karl Techow (WX428) of Krugesdorp, South Australia, and Pte, later Cpl Charles Gaydon Ellen (QX5518) of Wiltshire, England, who were both killed on 22 November 1942. Pte, later Lance Corporal Raymond Elwin Davies (TX32) of Hobart, Tasmania who died of disease on the 22 November 1942, as did CSM, later Capt Sydney McKenzie (QX6535) of Killara, New South Wales, who died of disease on 27 January 1946. Date made: 07 December 1940.'
